from 12 months to 3 years’, from the Appendix to help you answer
the following:
a) List two things a child aged between 12–18 months old can do:

c) Outline the intellectual development of a child aged 24–36
months.
d) What activities and games would a child aged 20 months enjoy?
Give one example here and say which area of development they
link to – e.g. a child aged 20 months will enjoy singing action
songs like ‘The Wheels on the Bus’ (language development).
e) Briefly outline language development for children in the first
three years of life (Use both Figures 1 and 2 to help you).
