Explain why monitoring, in relation to equality and diversity, is
important within your organisation. Make some notes in the

Equality and diversity is integral to the work of all organisations and, as mentioned
before, is required by law. All organisations are likely to be based in a diverse
and international community, where it is vital that you are able to recognise and
understand the people in that community. This understanding enables the advisor to
plan the service to meet the needs of the community, so that every client can flourish
and achieve their potential.
