                     Different ways in which individuals from a specific group
                     are enabled to explore their choices




                   As mentioned previously, every client is different, and every client will have different
                   needs. As well as having different needs, each client needs to be aware of all the
                   options available to them, and all the possible choices they have.



                   Complete the following activity to learn more.





                       A       Activity 1: Comparing client’s choices and options


                             Read through the following case studies and answer the
                             questions using the spaces provided.


                             a) You are working as a legal support worker in a local charity,
                                  when you are approached by a client who is partially sighted.
                                  The client goes on to explain that they are being discriminated
                                 against at work because of their disability.


                             List the ways in which you would assist this client to explore their
                             choices and options.

                               •    E.g. providing the client with information in alternative
                                    formats (braille, audio, etc.)
