How to refer or signpost clients in a supportive and
appropriate manner
Before you or your organisation starts to refer, you should have a number of
documents in place.
1. Referral policy
2. Confidentially policy
3. Equal Opportunities policy
4. Range of regional and local directories and contact information for
organisations in your local area
5. Training policy so that staff training is consistent.
