Information, Advice or Guidance
Give options and information
This stage of the interaction is where you provide the client with some advice,
guidance or information based upon the initial discussion stage. This could be
instantly – or perhaps after some time, to research the options.
Discuss options
Once you have provided your client with some advice, guidance or information, you
need to present these to the client. As with the section above, this might take place
at the same time, or possibly at an additional meeting or through another form of
communication such as a phone call or email.
Confirmation of the plan
One of the most important stages of interacting with a client is ensuring they
understand the plan for moving forward, and that this plan meets their requirements.
This might be via referring or signposting, or by dealing with the situation directly
yourself.
Although the model shown on the previous page is a circle, it is quite likely you will
have to revisit these options until the client is satisfied.
