requirements of clients

How to identify the information, advice or guidance
requirements of a range of individual clients
You will deal with a range of different clients, depending on the area and departments
you work in. The clients that you encounter are likely to be across a wide range of ages
and be both female and male. You are likely to encounter clients in different emotional
states, and in many different situations, for example:
• Clients who are distressed, perhaps due to circumstances outside of their
control such as being made homeless
• Clients who are depressed
• Clients who are angry, perhaps as a result of injustice or
their circumstances.
It is important to remain calm and deal with the client in front of you without
judgement.
! STOP AND THINK!
Think about the kind of clients you might encounter in your
organisation or an organisation you are familiar with. Make
