counselling skills
Think about the effectiveness of the core counselling skills used
when developing the helping relationship with your partner. Make
notes about how effective these counselling skills were in the space
below. The following guidance is to help you with the assessment:
• Discuss with the person that you have practised your skills
with, and/or with your tutor/line manager/supervisor/
mentor how effective you were in developing the helping
relationship. You should consider areas of strength and
areas that need further development. This will help you
answer your assessment question.
